Job Overview
As a Pop-Up Market Team Member, you will represent Our Hive at off-site events and markets, creating a welcoming, informative, and memorable experience for every guest. This role combines customer service, product knowledge, and event execution. Team members are expected to work primarily on weekends and travel to various market locations typically in Black Diamond, Enumclaw, Maple Valley, and Covington.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and break down Our Hive booths at pop-up markets and community events
- Engage with customers in a friendly, knowledgeable, and brand-aligned manner
- Educate guests on Our Hive products, ingredients, and nutritional benefits
- Prepare, sample, and serve products according to company standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing booth throughout the event
- Process cash and card transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Follow all health, safety, and food-handling guidelines
- Support inventory management, including restocking and tracking product usage
- Represent Our Hive professionally and positively at all times
- Assist with loading, transporting, and unloading supplies as needed
Scheduling & Work Environment
- Shifts primarily occur on weekends, with some early mornings required
- Events take place at various off-site locations including farmers markets and pop-ups
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, food service, or events preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, public-facing environment
- Team-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Food Handler Card required prior to employment
- Reliable transportation required
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $17.13 per hour, plus tips where applicable
- $3 per hour or more in tips
